My New Grandson: Owen

I am happy to announce that I am a new Grandma again! Owen Vinh Ha was born May 16, 2008 to my son Quang Xuan Ha and his wife Julie. This is a happy time for my family!

He is so cute!

Katie: "What Cha Lookin' At?"

For Bich Ha

I just recently re-established contact with my dear friend from high school, Bich Ha (not to be confused with my daughter Bich Ha). We had not spoken in probably 45 years and she somehow found my phone number after all these years!

Bich Ha is still the same positive, energetic person she was 45 years ago when we last saw each other. Catching up with her on old times, when we were young and whole world was at our feet, has been very nice for me, particularly since my husband died a year ago and I have needed some positive energy in my life.

We haven't seen each other yet, (only talked on the phone), but I hope to meet her again one day. In the meantime, I am posting photos of myself, now at 66 years old, so that she can see me for the first time in 45 years.

My New Granddaughter: Katie Anh Squires

These are photos of my new granddaughter, Katie Anh Squires, born May 8, 2007 to my eldest daughter Catherine Ha and her husband Tim Squires. Katie is two weeks old in these photos and she's also posing with her big brother Patrick.

We are having a great time and I am enjoying my job as a doting grandmother!

Spring in Cary, NC

Hello Everyone,

I just got back from almost 3 months in Vietnam. I enjoyed my trip very much and also loved the time I spent with my mother, who at 92 years-old is still the stylish, graceful beauty she has always been!

I will post photos of my Vietnam trip in a later blog, but for now I wanted to post a few photos of the beautiful spring in Cary, North Carolina. Notice that the flowers (tulips, daffodils, etc.) that I planted last fall are doing quite well!
